Today’s #wishlistwednesdaycsvp features this gorgeous off the shoulder dress from Forever New, as soon as I saw it I was in love. The fabric, the colours, the details. An asymmetric hemline that is floaty combined with the ruching detail on the neckline gives this dress such a dreamy feel, but I wanted to toughen it up slightly with the accessories. You could keep it dreamy and ethereal with barely there heels and dainty jewels, but instead I’ve given you two options that are still girly, but also a little bit edgy as well. Which do you prefer?

I’m loving how I’m feeling again and so thankful I took the 2 weeks to reset how I treat my body. Oh ps I lost 2.7kgs in 2 weeks. ⠀ ⠀ In the first few days I was already back in the swing of macchiatos instead of lattes, 3L of water instead of 1-2L and reduced carbs/dairy with increased protein. It brought back all the things I had learnt from my last #BeFitFood program and was basically a refresher course. It was true love as soon as I saw it and it did not disappoint! There were three in the bed and the little one said... where’s the coffee? ☕️☕️⠀ ⠀ Home after an amazing weekend filling my ‘Rachael’ cup. I got to drink hot coffee, have uninterrupted adult conversations, have a few cheeky champagnes with friends at a beautiful event, sleep a full 7 hours in the comfiest bed without a baby waking me, and even have TWO coffees during a leisurely breakfast where no one threw food on the floor or tried to deep dive off a high chair. Bliss. ⠀ ⠀ It was such a good idea to turn the weekend into a girl’s night away - @kirstymckenzie__ and @mummyrepublic are just gorgeous inside and out. I definitely think girl’s nights away should become a regular occurrence! Plus it’s super fun hanging out with fellow creatives playing around with taking photos and just having a laugh! ⠀ ⠀ We stayed at @rydgesfortitudevalley and it was amazing, such a good central location with great staff and amenities, the rooms were lovely and the bed SO comfy. The breakfast was also delicious 😋 great value for money, I know I’ll be back!

Today was meant to be my last day of my @befitfoodaustralia Metabolism Reset, but I didn’t get to stick to it last Friday or Sunday so I’ll be finishing the week before doing my blog. But spoiler alert, I’m waking up brighter and more energetic and feeling amazing. I wanted to feel the way I felt last year when I completed the Be Rapid program and I do! I’m not bloated or lethargic anymore, and as I bonus I’ve lost a few extra kilos (I’ll let you know how much in my blog... I might even do some before and Afters for you 😝). ⠀ ⠀ Committing to the 30 Day Challenge at @studio_pilates could have left me feeling tired and overwhelmed, but having great nutrition behind me has left me feeling amazing! I’m so glad I decided to bite the bullet and do it. The one who made me a Mama 😍⠀ ⠀ Carrying on from his unprompted coffee making on Mother’s Day, Bébé made me a coffee this morning in bed (I may have had to lie there for awhile while he pottered about in the kitchen ha ha)... when he came in he says to me “it’s okay if the water is cold right Mama?” 😳 I say “of course, maybe I’ll just microwave it because I feel like a hot coffee this morning”.... turns out our talk to him about the importance of being really careful with the kettle put him off boiling it 😂😂😂 God I love this kid. ⠀ ⠀ How amazing is this backdrop??!!?? We had the pleasure of attending sweet Otis’ 1st Birthday on Sunday afternoon and @dearestchildren absolutely outdid herself. I barely took any photos but swipe for the few I did - there was also a teepee/picnic area and the cake table was under the balloon arch Bambino is in front of. You ladies sure know how to make a gal feel loved ❤️⠀ ⠀ Thank you for your support and kind words on yesterday’s post, and for those of you who shared your stories with me too. I realised I don’t talk about this sort of thing that often on here, I guess I like to keep things lighthearted and happy because there’s enough heartbreak in the world. But on the flip side, I never knew of others who were in a similar situation and it made me feel alone. I now know some amazing strong Mamas who have strained or distant relationships with their mothers/family, and am in awe of how amazing they are as mamas themselves despite this. ⠀ ⠀ It’s a similar story when we struggled with losing our baby and subsequent secondary infertility, no one spoke about it until I started telling people what had happened (which wasn’t until much later) and I felt so alone at the time. I feel like there’s a fine line between being open and harping on. And I don’t want to be a harper onerer 😂⠀ ⠀ Do you like things lighthearted, or do you like a mix? Many of you may not know this about me, but I’m estranged from my entire family. I’ve always had a difficult relationship with my Mother and when Bébé was young I finally cut off all contact for my own mental health and well-being. ⠀ ⠀ BUT one of the reasons we’ve never moved since buying our first home is because of who live right next door to us. In a time when knowing your neighbours is a rare thing, ours have become family. The boys call next door Beenma & Regpa and we spend a lot of special holidays with them as well.
