It’s been a while since my last Budget Family Dinner blog, but this week Bebe asked for Spaghetti and Meatballs for dinner and when I ducked into Aldi and got all the ingredients for under $10.00 I knew I had to share!
I haven’t made spaghetti and meatballs before. Spaghetti, yes. Meatballs, yes. I can only assume Bebe got the idea from watching Garfield on the weekend ha ha! But it seemed like a quick and easy dinner, perfect for an afternoon that I had pilates on.
I’ve put 4 serves down, but I actually think it would serve 5-6 if you don’t have large portions or if you were to add garlic bread (which I was told by Bebe I should have done). And if you want to reduce the price even more you can use dry pasta instead of fresh x
These are Aldi products and pricing, but you can find similar in other supermarkets on sale or home brands.
Brown the meatballs in a frypan, add defrosted spinach and pasta sauce then simmer for 10 minutes. While the meatballs are simmering make the pasta according to instructions. Drain pasta, top with meatballs and sauce and voila! So simple!
I hope you found that helpful, let me know if you make it!
