One of my earliest blog posts was a 5 Minute Beauty Routine, how to get out the door on time but looking (and feeling) put together. I think it’s still relevant, but I’ve discovered some new fab products, so thought I’d refresh us all on a quick and easy routine for an everyday look!
I’ve kept the products to ones that you can find at Priceline, as they’re budget friendly and accessible to busy Mamas, however you can sub any of these specific products for other brands that work for you and your budget!
This little bottle give a boost and texture to flat or unstyled hair. It lasts FOREVER too! A little shake in your roots, and a massage, and you’ve got some texture and height whether for a cheeky topknot or sexy pony tail.
BB & CC creams are fantastic, and with so many around you can easily find one that works for you! I love that this La Roche-Posay has a high SPF and isn’t too heavy.
A palette is a fantastic investment as with these 6 colours you have highlighter for any time of the tan week (pale or St Tropez holiday), bronzer for some extra glow, blush with the peachy tones PLUS all of these can be used as eyeshadow too if you need a pop of colour and have a spare 15 seconds.
This has been my all time favourite mascara for years, it gives volume AND thickness without clumping. It’s true love and will take A LOT for it to be ever knocked off #1.
These lip glosses come in a great range of colours, aren’t sticky and last quite well. I have a number of them! My favourite colours are Crème Brulee, Maple Blondie and Merengue.
Nothing makes you look more ‘done’ or brighten the eyes more than groomed eyebrows, everybody needs a little help here and there with the perfect arch and a good powder can tweak your shape and the wax can set it for all day. My recommendation is use a blonde kit, as the taupe colours tend to suit most colourings.
All of these products combined equal a 5 minute routine… shake a little powder into your roots and throw your hair up into a cute bun, ponytail or top knot; using your fingertips blend a pea sized amount of BB Cream all over your face and neck; sweep a pink toned powder up your cheekbones with an angled brush then lightly add some highlighter to your cheekbones and brow bone (don’t forget your inner eye corner for extra bright eyes); use a soft eyeshadow brush and lightly sweep a broze or gold powder across your eyelid then layer on some mascara for lushes lashes; don’t forget those brows! lightly fill in your brows with some powder then brush through the wax for all day style and lastly sweep on some glossy lips. DONE!
I hope this has been useful for you! Let me know how you go with it.
