Week three… almost at the end of Frocktober for 2018. $2,535.00 raised by Team #StyleFileFrocktober for OCRF… click here to donate, every dollar counts! Did you know each year 1,600 Australian women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer, 4 out of 5 are in advanced stages and less than 30% will survive. Let’s put an end to these horrible statistics!
MONDAY | DAY 15
Chasing Case Floral Navy Maxi Dress $65.00*
My favourite type of Maxi Dress, the kind that dips up at the front. I find this style to be less overwhelming for my body type. The buttons run all the way down and are working buttons which makes this a breastfeeding friendly. True to size (I’m in the M), and the drawstring waist means you can have it as relaxed or fitted around the waist as you like.
Paired with current Target Australia Sabrina Sandals
TUESDAY | DAY 16
Kennedy’s Boutique Night Bird Maxi Dress $149.00*
I love Kennedy’s Boutique, they truly do try to create the most versatile pieces that are flattering to many different shapes and sizes. This stunning Maxi is actually floor length on me, but I’ve flounced it a bit over the sash belt to give it a different shape and make it a bit shorter to show off the splits on the side. True to size (I’m in the S/M), and you can wear it up on the shoulders too if you prefer.
WEDNESDAY | DAY 17
Petal & Pup Shelby Dress $39.95 (on sale – Beige unavailable)
This was one of the backup dresses I bought for Bambino’s 1st Birthday Party. It didn’t quite make the cut as I felt is was a bit short for running around after kids in but the fabric is a textured linen type feel and super cute. I’m in the 12 and find it really generously sized but wouldn’t size down in case I lost length in the skirt!
Paired with Nasty Gal Bow Away Striped Wedge & old Dotti Boater Hat.
THURSDAY | DAY 18
Dotti Dobby Spot Wrap Skater Dress $69.95
This was another backup dress I bought for Bambino’s 1st Birthday Party ha ha. I wore this to Beauty on Latrobe’s Christmas evening – the theme was Red & Gold so I picked red accessories to be in theme. I’m in the 14, I would say a slightly small cut as it fits quite perfectly and I’m usually a 12.
FRIDAY | DAY 19
Orange Sherbet Brooke Ruffle Dress (Cream) $59.95
I had Business Chicks so wanted a cute and semi dressy look that I could comfortably walk around and sit in all day – this was a winner. I ordered the dress Tuesday and had it Wednesday. True to size, I ordered the 14 as it is a linen and fabric so I was worried there wouldn’t be enough room for my bust… but I should have stayed the 12 – true to size! Hooray!
SATURDAY | DAY 20
Orange Sherbet Tilda Tie Dress (Tuscany Print) * $64.95
Another day another event! It was my MIL’s 80th Birthday Party and I wore this gorgeous new Tilda dress – how amazing is the print! The dress is so flattering with Kimono style sleeves, a tie front (great for any size bust and breastfeeding) and POCKETS! True to size (if not a little generous) I’m in the 12.
SUNDAY | DAY 21
Super oversized, I’m in the 10 and would go down to the 8! I personally prefer a cotton fabric rather than polyester as it gets quite warm in Queensland (understatement) but the print is really cute and the colours vibrant. A huge thank you to Kim from Captain + Co for suggesting a frock swap during Frocktober to extend our frockdrobes!
Paired with Ria Menorca Australia Avarcas Wedge Espadrille Teresa Nubuck in Yellow* (current)
