Do you remember waaaay back in January when I asked “Are you always the last on your (giant) to-do list?” and promised monthly “MAMA TIME Posts (that) will be dedicated to showing you how and why to look after yourself. From pamper sessions, ideas on how to chill out, fun date ideas (with friends and/or partners) and more”? Well you’re totally forgiven if you don’t, because guess what… it didn’t happen! To be absolutely fair, I fell pregnant not long after and as you know it hasn’t been an easy ride since!

Mum Buns & Heels and I decided to squeeze in a pamper before the baby arrived and headed to Endota Spa at Garden City as it’s close to us and travelling far was not an option! Even though she’s not pregnant, Dianne also had the Pregnant Pause Spa Package and loved it as much as I did!

What I love about Endota is the staff are committed to ensuring you have an exceptional experience from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave. When we arrived we were shown into the waiting area which is darkened, lit with ambient lighting, and has relaxing background music playing. We were offered herbal tea and/or water while we filled in our forms and then shown into our gorgeous treatment room. Endota Spas have double treatment rooms as well as single, so you can share your pamper sessions with a friend or loved one – how awesome is that!

After changing into our robes, we sat down and relaxed with a footbath. Our beauty therapists then gave our feet and lower legs a gorgeous exfoliation and massage. It was like an introduction into the pampering that awaited us! Once we were nice and relaxed we settled on the beds and were tucked in comfortably, Daneille made sure that I was elevated comfortably and had towels under my knees, and the next stage of our pampering began. A beautiful neck and shoulder massage put me almost to sleep before we were treated to a beautiful facial, focusing on any concerns that we had (dehydration for me, this pregnancy has literally sapped everything out of me!). My favourite part of the facial are the heated jade stones that are used to massage and infuse product, especially around the eye area these are magic, and the scalp massage. I could literally lay there having my scalp massaged alllll day!

After the facial our therapists went to organise water for us while we got dressed, and then it was out into the real world again! Of course for Dianne and I that means coffee. It was such a lovely treat to be pampered and even more lovely to share it with a friend.


Pregnant Pause: The ultimate time out for women in their second and third trimester. Relax with a footbath, lower leg and calf massage before enjoying some well-deserved quiet and calm.
