Hello Lovelies!
When I first told my besties that I was pregnant with our long awaited for rainbow baby, the first thing they asked was if they could plan my baby shower. Umm… but I already had one with Bebe?? Apparently these days you can have a baby shower with every baby, who knew!? I sure didn’t. I thought you had one with your first and that was it.

As you may remember from my Rainbow Baby post, I put a ban on baby talk and baby plans until I reached the second trimester. As soon as week 13 ticked over, they were on the planning wagon. I let them go ahead with their plans because it made them so happy, but I honestly didn’t feel comfortable with a SECOND baby shower. Especially as my first was so fabulous (thrown by my lovely bestie and Bebe’s Godmother Mel)!
After a little while, they decided that instead of a baby shower they would each SPOIL us with a large baby item (since we had no baby items left over from Bebe), and they went a little crazy at Baby Bunting. That apparently wasn’t good enough for them though and Dianne organised for us to go to High Tea at Bacchus South Bank in my third trimester.
We had the Quintessential High Tea which was delicious, and came with bottomless cups of coffee, tea and juice. The atmosphere and décor was amazing and the service was faultless. It really was a wonderful afternoon with just my two best friends, perfect as I am really feeling quite tired and don’t think I am up to a big party at this stage!
After High Tea we went out to the rooftop bar Soleil and had some delicious mocktails by the pool. Once again the décor was fabulous and the service impeccable. We will definitely be back when we can have a girls night!
Did you/or do you plan to have a baby shower/sprinkle with each bub or do you plan to have one with the first and then something small with subsequent pregnancies?
